For the period from 1/12/2023 – 31/05/2024 the following categories of meat and vegetables will be subject to 0% VAT
A. Fresh or chilled or frozen meats
- Meat of bovine animals, falling within CN headings 0201 and 0202;
- Swine meat, falling within CN heading 0203;
- Sheep or goats’ meat, falling within CN heading 0204;
- Edible offal of bovine animals, swine, sheep, goats, falling within class ex 0206;
- Edible poultry meat and offal of code 0105, falling within ΣΟ 0207;
- Meat of rabbits or hares and edible offal of rabbits or hares falling within CN codes ex 0208.
B. Fresh or chilled vegetables
- Tomatoes falling within CN class 0702;
- Onions, shallots, garlic, leeks and other similar vegetables falling within CN heading 0703;
- Cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli, collards, turnips, Brussels sprouts and similar edible products of the genus Brassica falling within CN heading 0704;
- Lettuces (Lactuca sativa) and chicories (Cichorium spp.) falling within CN heading 0705;
- Carrots, turnips, salad beetroot, salsify, celery, radishes and similar edible roots falling within CN heading 0706;
- Cucumbers and gherkins falling within CN heading 0707;
- Leguminous vegetables, shelled or unshelled such as peas and beans falling within CN heading 0708;
- Other vegetables such as asparagus, aubergines, celery, mushrooms, truffles, peppers, spinach, artichokes, unprepared olives, pumpkins, squashes, salads other than lettuce (e.g., coriander, parsley, chives), capers, fennel falling within CN heading 0709.
